Real Icelandic weather. Real Icelandic practice.
Step into the studio: pick a town, switch between yesterday, today and tomorrow, and talk about the weather the way an Icelandic weather presenter would. Every question below uses the real weather, so there is something new to practise every day.

Reglur síðunnar · How this page labels the weather
Cold, warm, hot are a teaching convention on this page, not official categories: kalt 5 °C or below · hlýtt 6–17 °C · heitt 18 °C or above.
Sól is used for a clear or partly cloudy forecast in daylight (08–18). At night the page says heiðskírt (clear sky) instead, or skýjað when there are some clouds.
Rok means a storm-force wind — on the official scale 24.5–28.4 m/s — not just any wind.
Rain today and tomorrow comes from the forecast’s weather description. Rain yesterday comes from the observed precipitation, hour by hour.

Practise with today’s weather
The weather is captured when a session starts and stays fixed until you start a new one, so an update can never change an answer halfway through.
Beginner spelling support accepts missing accents and th for þ, d for ð, and always shows the standard spelling. Progress is saved only in this browser, for today’s session. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
